- British Trees
- really good informative site about British native trees.
- Carsten Burkhardt's Web Project
Paeonia - perhaps not the easiest site to navigate, but a
great resource for serious peony lovers.
- Coblands Nursery/best4plants - online shopping for plants, plus a retail centre near Reading,
Berkshire in addition to their well established trade outlets
for landscapers and other horticultural businesses. Highly reputable
and always a good range available.
- Combley Plants - small but high quality wholesale nursery in Devon. They also provide a retail online/postal service via their website and Ebay shop. Plant Base user and reseller.
- Crocus.co.uk - online plant supply. They have a good reputation, reasonable
delivery charges and an excellent informative web-site.
- DingleyDell Nurseries
- good wholesale only nursery in Surrey, huge range of shrubs
and climbers. Many of their plants are pictured in Plant Base.
- Fernwood Nursery
- National Collection holders of Sempervivums and Phormiums. A
wealth of information about these plants. Valued contributors
to Plant Base.
- Floral Images -
superb photographs by John Crellin, mostly of Northern European
wild plants.
- Future Forests - very interesting garden centre in Co. Cork, Ireland. Will ship mail order to Eire, UK and elsewhere. A Plant Base customer.
- Garden Blooms Nursery - great small nursery in Yorkshire, well worth a visit when you are in the area and they even have a C&C site for overnight stays. Run by a long-term Plant Base user.

in growing Heathers
- Judy’s Snowdrops
- great site for the Galanthus enthusiast, excellent information
on a very wide range of cultivars and sale of snowdrops 'in the
green'. Contributer to Plant Base.
- Lavendelfoto - a plant
photography agency with an extensive on-line database of pictures,
searchable and very well indexed by both common and botanical
name. Valuable source of commercial plant photography and also
a useful reference. Common plant names are given in English, French
and German, as is the whole site.
- Longacres Nursery -
large garden centre in Surrey, always a wide selection at very
competative prices, plus online ordering.
- Mail Order Trees
- online supplier of well grown trees, hedging plants and shrubs.
Backed by an established family run nursery in Cambridgeshire.

- the web site of Crocosmia expert and collector Mark Fox. Great

- Plants Wholesale - quality internet plant supplier with a great website. Offers an excellent range at keen prices, particularly good for bulk purchases. They are the supplier of RHS licensed hedging plants, which can't be a bad thing.
