description:
Tender evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub with large mid-green maple-like leaves. Large semi-pendulous, bell-shaped pale creamy yellow flowers produced over a long period when grown in warm conditions.
cultivation:
Needs a warm, sheltered, sunny position and moderately fertile, well drained soil. In cold areas best grown in an unheated greenhouse or conservatory.
Pinching back shoots will encourage branching and increase flower production. Cut back long stems in spring, as necessary.
propagation:
Softwood or semi-ripe cuttings, in spring or summer.
usage:
Conservatories or containers. Also excellent in mild, Mediterranean type gardens. Can be trained against a wall.
