Unusual very dark bronze foliage. Spikes of bicoloured purple-pink and white flowers. Dwarf, compact habit, good resistance to rust. Short-lived perennial, usually treated as an annual or biennial.
Best in fertile, sharply drained soils in full sun. Dislike winter wet. Dead-head regularly to prolong flowering season.
Sow seed at about 16°C in late summer or early autumn, otherwise in early spring.
Cottage garden borders and edging, bedding schemes, containers.
