Spreading foliage plant with creamy yellow splashed and mottled leaves. Yellow Flowers in July. Basal rosettes are usually evergreen.
Moist, well drained, reasonably fertile soil in sun or part shade.
May be short-lived or biennial, removing the flowers will make it more perennial.
From seed, which come true to the form.
Decorative ornamental leaves that are also edible. Young leaves may be eaten in salads or lightly cooked. Similar in flavour to watercress.
