description:
Upright deciduous shrub of columnar habit with erect thorny stems. Bright golden yellow foliage with red highlights on young growth. Foliage is resistant to scorching in hot sun. Small, insignificant, pale cream-yellow flowers in late spring, followed by red berries. Orange-red autumn foliage colour.

Similar in habit to 'Hellmond Pillar' but with yellow foliage.

cultivation:
Most well drained soils in sun or part shade. Best in a sheltered position.
