Large, dense panicles of tiny, fragrant, lilac-blue flowers from late summer to autumn. Semi-evergreen deep green leaves, white-woolly underneath.
Very tolerant of poor conditions. Best in well drained soil and full sun.
Prune hard to control size, shape and encourage fresh flowering growth. Best done in early spring, but additional partial pruning can be done after flowering in autumn to prevent winter wind damage.
Attractive to butterflies.
