Variegated foliage of greyish-green and cream leaves. Spikes of reddish purple flowers in summer. Reasonably compact bushy habit with arching stems.
Reputed to be an improvement on other variegated forms and rarely suffers from reversion of foliage colour.
Very tolerant of poor conditions. Best in well drained soil and full sun.
Prune hard to control size, shape and encourage fresh flowering growth. Best done in early spring, but additional partial pruning can be done after flowering in autumn to prevent winter wind damage.
Attractive to butterflies.
