Spreading habit and slender, mid to grey-green leaves. Narrow panicles of violet-purple flowers with orange eyes. Relatively compact growing.

Prune hard to control size, shape and encourage fresh flowering growth. Best done in early spring, but additional partial pruning can be done after flowering in autumn to prevent winter wind damage.
Attractive to butterflies.
