description:
Beautiful, medium sized, single, pale pink flowers. Glossy dark green leaves and a wide spreading habit.

cultivation:
Moist, well drained, humus-rich, acid soil in a shaded position sheltered from cold, drying winds. Flower buds may be damaged by frost, especially if exposed to morning sunlight. Well suited to British climate conditions.

propagation:
By leaf-bud or semi-ripe cuttings or by grafting.

other notes:
Hybrid derived from Camellia japonica x Camellia saluenensis. This was the first named Camellia x williamsii cultivar, raised by J. C. Williams at Caerhays Castle, Cornwall in the mid 1920's.
