Very large, double, pale blue-lilac flowers in early summer, repeats with single flowers later in the year.


cultivation:
Best in some shade, otherwise the flowers bleaching.
All clematis prefer alkaline soil but will normally tolerate other soil types. Requires regular supply of moisture. When planting, make the hole deeper than usual, as a precaution against Clematis wilt.
Prune lightly in late winter or early spring, removing any dead or damaged stems. Prune again after flowering. (group 2)
