Compact habit, upright to arching stems of mid-green leaves and masses of apricot orange-yellow flowers in late spring and early summer.
Well drained soil in full sun. Thrives in poor acid soils, lime-tolerant but dislikes shallow chalky soil.
Resents disturbance and best planted when small.
Trim back after flowering, reducing stems by about half.
