Large yellow and brownish red flowers in late spring. Arching stems with tiny green leaves.
Well drained soil in full sun. Thrives in poor acid soils, lime-tolerant but dislikes shallow chalky soil.
Resents disturbance and best planted when small.
Prune after flower, but don't cut into old wood.

Excellent coastal plant.
