description:
Large, double, bicoloured flowers of pale violet with creamy white centres. Petals close up in the evening.

cultivation:
Moist, but not waterlogged, fertile medium to heavy loam, preferably neutral or very slightly acid. Sunny position. In cool areas, lift tubers in late autumn and overwinter in a frost-free place.

propagation:
By division of tubers or from cuttings.

usage:
Borders, containers or under glass.
Good as a cut flower and bred for this purpose, lasting up to 7 days.
