description:
Large clump forming perennial. Sturdy, erect purplish stems with dark markings. Dark green leaves. Large heads of dusky pinkish-purple flowers in late summer and early autumn. A very good form of 'Atropurpureum'.

By division of clumps in spring.

usage:
Good for wildlife plantings - much favoured by bees and butterflies
