description:
Low growing bushy deciduous shrub with a very twiggy habit and ovate green leaves. Deep yellow flowers in late winter or early spring on the bare branches. Not as free flowering as some, but the earliest.
cultivation:
Any moderately fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or light dappled shade. Very hardy. Easy to grow and not fussy.
Prune after flowering, reducing new shoots and cut back some of the old shoots to the base.
propagation:
Greenwood cuttings in late spring or semi-ripe cuttings in late summer.
