description:
Robust, bushy, deciduous shrub. Sparse but very large, nodding, deep yellow flowers in the spring before the leaves emerge.
cultivation:
Any moderately fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or light dappled shade. Easy to grow and not fussy. Prune after flowering, reducing new shoots and cut back some of the old shoots to the base.
propagation:
Greenwood cuttings in late spring or semi-ripe cuttings in late summer.
