description:
Large, slightly fragrant, deep golden yellow flowers with a touch of orange in the throats, in early spring before the leaves. Opposite, toothed, lance-shaped, mid to dark green leaves. Very cold hardy variety and one of the earliest flowering.
cultivation:
Any moderately fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or light dappled shade. Easy to grow and not fussy. Prune after flowering, reducing new shoots and cut back some of the old shoots to the base.

Greenwood cuttings in late spring or semi-ripe cuttings in late summer.
