description:
Vigorous, upright, evergreen or semi-green shrub. The lobed green leaves and stems are covered with tiny hairs which can cause considerable irritation. Yellow flowers are freely borne from late spring to mid autumn.

cultivation:
Grows best in poor, well drained, even dry, soil in full sun. Can be effectively trained against a sunny wall or fence and will then tolerate lower than usual temperatures, down to -15°C for short periods.
Can be short-lived in cool areas, sometimes dying suddenly for no apparent reason.
