description:
Medium to large sized shrub, usually evergreen in mild climates. Large dark green leaves with soft hairs. Clusters of very long funnel-shaped flowers with white tubes, short reflexing sepals flushed pink and short deep crimson corollas. May produce small edible red-purple fruits in warm climates.
cultivation:
Moist, well drained, fertile humus-rich soil in sun or part shade. Best in mild locations, but will survive some frost for short periods.
Trim back in early spring.

From seed of by cuttings, which strike easily.
usage:
Good conservatory plant or for sub-tropical gardens.
