description:
Spreading, broadly vase-shaped shrub or small tree. Rounded bright green leaves turn yellow in autumn. Clusters of relatively large pale sulphur yellow, sweetly scented flowers are freely produced on bare branches in mid and late winter.

cultivation:
Best in moist, fertile, acid to neutral soil in sun or part shade. Dislikes dry soils. Benefits from a site sheltered from strong winds.
Prune if required, by removing dead or unwanted branches in late winter/early spring.
