Attractive, short growing, rhizomatous, dwarf bearded variety producing relative large, dark velvety violet-purple flowers with purple and gold beards. Stiff blade-like grey-green leaves.

cultivation:
Well drained, preferably neutral to slightly acid soil in full sun. Rhizomes should be partially exposed and flowering is best in areas with long warm summers. Divide clumps when congested.
