description:
Rounded bushy evergreen shrub with alternate oval or ovate, rough textured mid-green leaves which are attractively reddish-bronze flushed when young. Leaves and shoots are slightly hairy. Small spidery, sweet scented, pinkish-red flowers in late winter to early spring.

Moist, well drained, fertile humus-rich soil in a sheltered, part shaded position.
