description:
Open spreading small deciduous tree. Deep rose-pink buds opening to lilac-pink flowers shading to purple at the petal base, with a lighter shading on the inside. Flowers have very rounded petals, are fragrant and freely produced from an early age.
cultivation:
Prefers heavy, rich and moist lime free soil in a sheltered position, but quite adaptable. Can be pruned after flowering or in July or August. Tolerant of atmospheric pollution.
