description:
Dwarf, early flowering spring bulb with slightly reflexed bright yellow perianth segments and golden orange trumpets. Narrow, erect, dark green leaves. Very attractive and good healthy growth habit.

cultivation:
Best in moderately fertile, well drained soil. Needs reasonable moisture while in growth early in the year but dormant bulbs will survive drought and hot summers. Sun or part shade.
Plant bulbs at one and half times their own size or a little deeper. Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering.

propagation:
Separate and replant bulb offsets.

usage:
Will naturalise well in partial shade.
