Dark rose red winter buds open in spring to light pink flowers. Deep green foliage, bronze tinted when young.
Moist, well-drained, humus rich, acidic soil in partial shade. Sheltered, woodland type conditions are ideal. Will tolerate full sun if not too hot.
Very hardy and reputed to be disease resistant.
