Very large, blue-purple fruits with a tart acidic flavour, produced in late August. Small rounded deciduous tree, clusters of small white flowers in spring.

Any reasonable, well drained soil in sun or light part shade. Grows well on clay soils.
Partly self fertile. Polination group D.

Fruits are good for cooking.
