Large evergreen, a relatively slow growing form with good bushy foliage of glossy dark green leaves neatly arranged on reddish tinted branchlets. Spikes of small fragrant white flowers in late spring. Eventually makes a dense conical tree if left unpruned.

Will thrive in any well drained soil, even shallow chalky ones. Drought tolerant once established.

Suitable for training as formal heding or even topiary.
