description:
Vigorous rambler with semi-evergreen glossy dark green leaves. Moderately sized, scented, double creamy white flowers, pale lemon at the centres, freely produced in June and July, often repeating sporadically later in the season.

cultivation:
Fertile, moist, well drained soil. Sun or part shade. Tolerant of poor soils and shade, robust grower and generally trouble-free. Very hardy.

propagation:
By cuttings

usage:
Can be grown on fences and other structures or into trees. Usefull climber for difficult positions and the nearly evergreen foliage is good for screening.

other notes:
Bred by Barbier, Orléans, France about 1900. A hybrid of Rosa wichuraiana x Rosa 'Shirley Hibbard'.
