How to Order

To order and pay on-line please click the PayPal Buy Now button below.

The PayPal secure payments allow using most credit and debit cards. You do not need to have a PayPal account. An automated licence registration code request will be offered after payment, so that you can get your personalised code immediately. An email confirmation is also sent. Remember to click the "return to store" link if shown.

Alternatively just send us an email. This may be preferable if you have any questions, though it will take more time to complete your purchase. In addition to PayPal, buyers using UK currency (GBP) can pay by cheque or direct bank transfer if preferred.

Prices are given as UK pounds sterling. For international purchases the PayPal system will normally convert to other currencies at the prevailing rate.

Full registration licence for all versions, no time limits - if you have already installed the full product, then this is all you need.

Software on CD

Plant Base CD Box

We no longer offer CD's by post as a normal sale option. Installation from the download file is recommended.

However if you have difficulty with the download, please email us to order the software on CD. We will do our best, but there might be some delay. A small charge is made to cover costs (UK - £5, Europe - £6.50, Worldwide - £8).

Download or CD?

The installation of Plant Base resulting from the downloaded file or CD is identical for most users. The choice really only depends on the practicality of downloading a fairly large file.

Try it first

If you have reasonable speed broadband, you can download the full product or a reduced size evaluation edition and try it for 15 days. It is also perfectly OK to install from a loaned or copied CD.

Purchasing and entering the registration code will remove the time limit.

Buying as a gift?

No problem - when purchasing online you will be offered a web form allowing entry of an alternative registration name. Or email us and we will generate the registration code with the name that you specify.

About the registration code

Registration codes will remain valid for future releases of the standard PC edition. It will not be necessary to pay again for later versions.

Registration covers a household or organisation, multiple installs are allowed (see licence).

Certain organisations, primarily educational or environmental, may receive free registrations. Please email us for details.

The code is uniquely keyed on the name of the user. Please indicate any name preference, up to 20 normal characters, otherwise we will use the purchaser.

If you have already purchased a retail copy of the CD, then just go the Registration Form to get your code.

Purchasing licences to reproduce images from our picture library

The photographs used within Plant Base are available for commercial reproduction. We are happy to supply them separately on request.

In some cases our images may be used for free (see our copyright statement), but for most commercial purposes, a modest licence fee is payable.

Images may be saved from Deeproot Plant Base, the web-site gallery or supplied by us on request (see plant photographs list).
