Slow growing, delicately graceful small tree. Very colourful foliage, the young leaves being peach pink with red tints, becoming softer pink and light green. Reaches about 1.8 metres in 10 years.

Moist, well drained, fertile soil in sun or part shade. Needs a position sheltered from cold winds and late frosts, which can damage emerging foliage. Prune if required, by removing dead or unwanted branches in late autumn to midwinter.

By grafting in late winter, or bud-grafts in late summer.

Suitable for growing in a container while young.
