Attractive form of horsechestnut. Large palmate leaves and showy spikes of blush pink flowers in May. Does not set seed.
Unfussy and thrives in most reasonable soils but best in moist, well drained, deep, fertile soil, in full sun or part shade.
Back-cross of A x carnea with A. hippocastanum. Raised in France about 1894.
