Large shrub or small, graceful tree with attractive foliage of pale to mid green, long fern-like 2-pinnate leaves composed of numerous small sickle-shaped leaflets. Pink flowerheads in summer. Slightly smaller growing than the species and reputed to be more frost hardy.
Relatively hardy and will survive low temperatures once well established. Poor to moderately fertile soil in sun.
From seed in spring or by root cuttings taken in winter.
This is the most commonly available form for ornamental planting.
