Rosettes of short triangular light blue-green leaves, often tinged with pink in strong sunlight. Whitish spines along the edges. Orange-red flowers in late summer. Neat, compact growing habit. Each rosette is only about 15cm in diameter but offsets are produced to form tight clumps.

Needs excellent drainage, sun and warm temperatures. Not really hardy but may survive short cold periods in a very protected position.
