Mat forming alpine with fern-like finely divided dark greyish-green leaves. Small white daisy-like flowers with red undersides and yellow centres, which only open in bright sunlight but show the red reverse when closed.
Very well drained, preferably slightly alkaline soil in full sun. Dislikes excessive humidity and winter wet.
From seed or by division
Rock, scree and gravel gardens.
Has been used for "living roof" plantings.
