Vigorous, upright large shrub or may grow as a small tree. Silky, silver grey-green trifoliate leaves. Pineapple-scented bright yellow flowerheads in mid and late summer.
Thrives in poor, very well-drained, even dry, soil in full sun. However it is not very hardy in Northern Europe and needs a sheltered position, against a south-facing wall is ideal.
