Clump forming perennial with upright stems and narrow leaves. Clusters of rose-pink flowers with darker bracts, fragrant with a vanilla-like scent, produced from mid to late summer. The stems have a milky sap.
Prefers good damp soil, but will adapt to drier conditions. Full sun. Will thrive in wet boggy conditions.
From seed or by division.
Specially bred for cut flowers. Suitable for bog gardens or stream and pond banks. Also good for herbaceous borders.
Attractive to insects.
