Compact habit and deep bronzy green foliage carried on wiry, mahogany stems. Fluffy, slightly drooping panicles of bright pink flowers opening from salmon pink buds, in midsummer.

Best in moist, fertile soil in partial shade. Will grow in full sun if the soil does not dry out.

Damp borders, bog gardens. Useful for small gardens or front of planting schemes.
