description:
Compact, bushy, evergreen sub-shrub with upright, white-woolly stems of opposite, heart-shaped, round-toothed, grey-green leaves. Whorls of small, 2-lipped, white-marked, purple-pink flowers with green calyces, in mid to late summer.

cultivation:
Best in poor, dry, freely drained soil in full sun. Thrives on alkaline soils.
Cut back in spring to keep compact.

propagation:
Softwood or semi-ripe cuttings.
