description:
Tree or shrub of very variable habit, may be tall growing but often smaller and tending to be low growing or bushy in exposed locations. The trunk becomes twisted and gnarled with rough grey bark. Leathery dark green leaves with silvery white undersides. Cylindrical spikes of pale yellow flowers.
