Unusual form with the typical large rounded leaves being irregularly variegated green and creamy yellow. Spikes of pink flowers in spring. The leaves may become pink-red tinged in autumn and winter.
Best in humus-rich, moist, well drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Will tolerate many conditions including poor soil and exposed positions, but dislikes extreme heat and drought. Divide and replant clumps every 3 to 5 years.
From sections of root rhizome, each with at least one leaf node or growing bud, preferably taken after flowering in late spring or in autumn. Plant in well drained soil or compost.
