Upright, stiffly bushy evergreen with variegated foliage of small green and yellow leaves. Small rounded mid blue flower heads in late spring.
The foliage is less yellow than its parent 'Zanzibar' and is less effected by cold temperatures so looks better in winter and early spring.
Most well drained soils, but not very chalky ones. Prefers full sun. Reasonably frost hardy, but best in a sheltered position in cool areas.
By semi-ripe cuttings taken from mid-summer to autumn - can be tricky, a little bottom heat may help.
Can be effectively trained as a wall shrub.
New cultivar, a sport of Ceanothus 'Pershore Zanzibar', discovered at Yoder Toddington, Littlehampton, England, in 1996.
