description:
Dense, upright to spreading evergreen shrub. Small glossy dark green leaves up to about 1cm long. Deep blue flowerheads in spring, later followed by small black fruits.

cultivation:
Most well drained soils, but not very chalky ones. Prefers full sun. Reasonably frost hardy, best in a sheltered position in cool areas. Drought tolerant.

propagation:
By semi-ripe cuttings taken from mid-summer to autumn - can be tricky, a little bottom heat may help.

usage:
Good wall shrub.
