Dense, upright to spreading evergreen shrub. Small glossy dark green leaves up to about 1cm long. Deep blue flowerheads in spring, later followed by small black fruits.

Most well drained soils, but not very chalky ones. Prefers full sun. Reasonably frost hardy, best in a sheltered position in cool areas. Drought tolerant.

By semi-ripe cuttings taken from mid-summer to autumn - can be tricky, a little bottom heat may help.

Good wall shrub.
