Vigorous evergreen making a wide spreading mound. Good ground cover. One of the hardiest Ceanothus varieties. Pale blue flowers in Spring. Rather variable in habit.

Most well drained soils, but not very chalky ones. Prefers full sun. Reasonably frost hardy, best in a sheltered position in cool areas.

By semi-ripe cuttings taken from mid-summer to autumn - can be tricky, a little bottom heat may help.
