description:
Bushy deciduous shrub with narrow, pointed, willow-like leaves about 12cm long. Large terminal cymes of bright greenish yellow flowers which are tubular opening out to a star-shaped mouth and are fragrant at night. Produced from summer to autumn and followed by violet-brown berries.

cultivation:
Fertile well drained soil in full sun or part shade. Not very hardy and best with protection from severe frosts, but in cold areas will sometimes regrow from the base if the top growth is frosted.
May be pruned back close to the base in spring.
