description:
Spreading deciduous shrub. Large peach pink flowers with white markings, opening from deep orange buds in spring. Large yellow quince-like fruits follow in autumn.

Any reasonably fertile, well drained soil in sun or part shade. Flowers and fruits best in sun.

propagation:
Easiest by layering or separation of rooted suckers if available. Alternatively from hardwood cuttings (one year old shoots).
