Dense, spreading shrub with twisted branches. Clusters of pink flushed, white flowers. Rounded yellow fruits follow later.

Any reasonably fertile, well drained soil in sun or part shade. Flowers and fruits best in sun.

Easiest by layering or separation of rooted suckers if available. Alternatively from hardwood cuttings (one year old shoots).

The curly stems make good winter interest.

other notes:
Originally from Japan and the name 'Rinho' may in fact be the oldest and correct one.
