description:
Reliable large flowering hybrid. Large flat flowers with 8 pale mauve-pink petals, each with a central purple bar. Early summer and usually flowers again in August and September.


cultivation:
Best in some shade, otherwise the flowers bleaching.
All clematis prefer alkaline soil but will normally tolerate other soil types. Requires regular supply of moisture. When planting, make the hole deeper than usual, as a precaution against Clematis wilt.

Prune lightly in late winter or early spring, removing any dead or damaged stems. Prune again after flowering. (group 2)
