Leaves are divided into segments giving a ferny appearance. Evergreen with the foliage becoming bronze tinted in winter. The small pale yellow bell-shaped flowers are spotted with reddish purple inside and are prolifically produced throughout winter.
All clematis prefer alkaline soil but will normally tolerate other soil types. Requires regular supply of moisture. When planting, make the hole deeper than usual, as a precaution against Clematis wilt.
Semi-ripe cuttings in early summer. By layering in late winter or early spring.
