All clematis prefer alkaline soil but will normally tolerate other soil types. Moist, well-drained, cool soil but in a position protected from cold winds and very low temperatures. Sun or part shade.
Semi-ripe cuttings in early summer. By layering in late winter or early spring.
Ground cover for a sheltered rock garden or raised bed. May be trained as a low climber.
Hybrid of C. marmararia x C. ternifolia
