description:
Claw-like, white flowers, usually with a greenish tinge, in pendent racemes in spring and early summer. Lax evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub, most often used as a wall shrub. Deep green pinnate leaves with up to 25 small, narrowly oblong leaflets.

cultivation:
Well drained soil in full sun and with shelter from cold winds. Needs a fairly warm location or can be grown in a conservatory. Best against a warm sunny wall. If cut back by hard frost, will usually re-grow from the base. Ovoid excessive winter wet.

propagation:
From semi-ripe cuttings in summer. Also available as seed.
